Jack was one of my most significant mentors. I had the pleasure taking all his classes, and then, 'shadowing' him for a semester to learn more from the perspective of teaching. He was a dedicated educator in every sense of the word, as well as a passionate artist. It will be strange not to see him around Plant Science, he was such a part of our local landscape. His presence will be sorely missed!
